Common questions
I can't sign in
There are three ways in: your email and password, a one-tap link emailed to you, or Face ID once you have signed in on that device at least once. If the password is not working, use Use a magic link on the sign-in screen and open the email on the same device.
My sign-in link says it expired
Those links work once, and only for a short window. Request a fresh one from the sign-in screen, and open it on the device you want to sign in on.
My vacancy listing isn't showing up
A listing appears on your public page only once you publish it, and the unit it belongs to has to be vacant. Your page lives at login.rentalvue.app/listings/ followed by the slug you set under Settings → Listings Page URL. If that field is empty, you do not have a public page yet.
How do rent charges get created?
They are generated once a month for every lease that is active or ending, on the rent due day you set on the lease. You can also create the current month yourself with Generate rent charges on the Rent Roll screen. Generating twice does not double-charge — a charge that already exists is left alone.
How do I give a tenant access?
Open the tenant and send an invitation to their email address. They get a link to the tenant portal, where they can see their lease, their balance and file a maintenance request. They cannot see anything about your other properties, tenants or finances.
Can my tenants use the iPhone app?
No — the app is for landlords. The tenant portal is a web page at login.rentalvue.app/portal, and it works in any browser on any device with nothing to install. If a tenant does sign in to the app, it will recognise them and hand them a link straight to their portal.
I'm not getting notifications
Notifications need permission, which iOS only asks for once. If you declined it, the app cannot ask again — turn it back on in the iPhone Settings app under Notifications → RentalVue.
Delete your account
In the app, open Settings, scroll to Delete Account, and confirm by typing DELETE.
This is a real deletion, not a deactivation. Your account, properties, units, leases, tenants, rent charges, payments, expenses, maintenance requests, listings and uploaded receipt images are all removed, and it cannot be undone. If you need any of it for taxes, export or save it first.
If you cannot reach the app for any reason, email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
What RentalVue does not do
It does not collect rent, run tenant screening or credit checks, or file your taxes. It is the record of what happened, not a payment processor. If you are looking for those, RentalVue is not the right tool and we would rather tell you now.
Pricing
RentalVue is free while it is new, with no in-app purchases and no limit on the number of properties or units. If paid plans arrive later, the free tier stays.
